Hi, I’m Ruby! I love using design to help business owners and makers thrive in what they do. I love the feeling that comes after genuinely helping people. My goal with every project is this: make your life easier and make your brand better.

After graduating with my BFA in Graphic Design from Iowa State University in 2019, my husband Sam and I made the big move from Iowa to Kansas City, where I spent three years working in-house as the Lead Designer at Airshare. These days, I’m back in Des Moines as the Senior Graphic Designer for Midwest Living and Dotdash Meredith Travel and spend side time as a creative freelancer.
To me, design doesn’t stop when I close my laptop—it seeps into every part of my life. I’m that girl who is constantly critiquing the restaurant menu’s typography and proudly announcing to my friends when I recognize a typeface. When I'm not designing, you can most likely find me drinking matcha lattes and snuggling my border collie, Cooper.
